We have just completed installing the midfloor at our Maxwell Avenue two storey build and it was our first time using the Carters Cassette Flooring system. As with trying anything new there is always an element of apprehension, however that quickly disappeared after the first 5 minutes. To say the system is time saving is a huge understatement. We had the midfloor installed in 90 minutes ready to stand 1st floor frames. Being cautious given it was our first time I had the frames booked for the following day!

Not only is it quick to install overall the price came in cheaper when you factor in materials and labour. My costings had an overall saving of just over $1,000 + gst. That’s not even factoring in the time we have saved in scaffold and other areas by speeding up the build. The other really important aspect I personally liked was the safety factor it provides, as it generates an immediate work platform. This limits time working at heights installing joists etc.

The lead up to the install was just as impressive, as Carters have a dedicated design team that work with you to maximise the flooring system to best suit the design of your house. After a few quick emails back and forth the design is set and booked in for manufacturing. Huge thanks to Ben from Carters Whanganui for the initial idea, and to David Olliver from Carters Wellington for overseeing the install and design. Overall a huge success and something we will certainly be using again for our multi level builds.
